At MWC there was a separate exhibition with infrastructure provider, operators, device manufacturers and service providers called “Connected City”. This continued at CeBIT – one of the world largest IT exhibitions – with the trends “could computing”, “mobility”, “internet of the things” and last but not least the “Smart Home Forum” of BITKOM.

Heading for Barcelona

It’s Sunday morning and I jump on the airport shuttle bus with a big suitcase in my hand. I’m leaving a cold snowy Sweden with snowflakes swirling in the air, for a more southern location – Barcelona. The bus passes the development centers for both Sony Mobile and ST-Ericsson. Today it is quiet at those facilities, but I’m sure they are working hard with their booths in Barcelona.

Mobile World Congress 2013 is coming up

In about two weeks, the main mobile event of the year will kick off - Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.  And for the first time, I am going there.

I have followed the news flow from the event for many years, so now it’s about time to really be there on-site in Barcelona. Of course I have been interested to go there but I haven’t been thrilled. Now after taking in the info about Tieto’s preparation and participating in some of the preparation meetings. I’m really getting excited to go!
